The double-glazing window frame contains a peripheral channel (2), directed towards the interior of the frame which is bordered by two ridges (3). The channel is filled partially or totally with a moisture-absorbing material (11) and covered over its whole length by a fitting (10) which is permeable to air. The two window panes (14) are sealed in position against the external faces of the ridges (3) to complete the assembly.
