The projectile (9) is launched from one of three inclined barrels when a powder charge is ignited electronically by a signal from a directional geophone. The body (10) of the projectile (9) contains a hollow charge with an impact detonator, and carries a deployable fin (11) and a rotor (12) whose blades (13) are jointed for folding into a container. The rotor shaft is located initially centrally within a ring of electromagnets and has an elbow joint to a second shaft driving, through a reduction gear, a third shaft which carries an infrared detector. A calculator directs the descent of the projectile into the predicted path of an intruding vehicle.
