The following cpds. which were not examplified in the parent patent are specifically claimed (S)alpha-cyano (4-fluoro-3-phenoxy)-benzyl esters of IR, trans-or cis 3-(cyclobutylidene methyl)-2,2-dimethyl -cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid and 1R, cis or trans 3-(cyclopropylidene-methyl)- 2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropane 1-carboxylic acid i.e. cpds. (I) (where R is cyclobutylidene or cyclopropylidene). (I) are prepd. by reaction of (II) with (S)-alpha-cyano-1-(3-phenoxy-4-fluoro)- phenyl methanol (III), in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide and pyridine, pref. using methylene chloride as solvent. (where R is cyclopropylidene-methyl or cyclobutylidene methyl). Insecticides, nematocides, acaricides and fungicides active against plant and animal parasites. (I) may be used in association with other active cpds. and synergistic cpds.
