Alpha cyano 3-phenoxy benzyl esters of cyclopropane carboxylic acid (I) are new. (where R=3-6C cycloalkyl opt. substd. in the 1-position by methyl; the ethylenic double bond is in the Z configuration; the cyclopropane ring is in the 1R, cis configuration; and the cyanated alcoholic link is in the S configuration). (I) are insecticides and acaricides for use on plants, animals, and buildings. They have low mammalian toxicity. (I) where R1=cyclobutyl, cyclopentyl, 1-methyl cyclobutyl, 1-methyl cyclopentyl, and cyclopropyl, are specifically claimed.
