Improvements relating to fork- lift tucks

A fork-lift truck, particularly such a truck for rough terrain, has an interface framework (3) mounted at its front end and an interface carriage (5) vertically movable on the interface framework (3). Upwardly open hooks (12) are mounted on the truck body (1) beneath the interface carriage to support a mast (14, 16) mounting a mast carriage. A lifting frame (35) (Figure 5, not shown) is secured to the lower end of the mast and engaged with the interface carriage (5) so that by raising the interface carriage (5) the mast (14, 16) can be lifted out of the hooks (12) and, steadied by mast tilt rams (19), hung on a frame or supports on a wall so that it can be disconnected from the truck to allow other tools to be mounted on the interface carriage at the front of the truck.
