The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation containing as the vasodilator N"-cyano-N-4-pyridyl-N'-1,2,2- trimethylpropylguanidine and as the diuretic active component a compound selected from the group consisting of the thiazide or thiazide-like type diuretics and loop diuretics.PP The combination is valuable in the treatment of mammals, including man, suffering e.g. from hypertension or congestive heart failure.
