FUSED FLUX FOR SUBMERGED ARC INCLINED POSITION WELDING

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an under cut and concave in the case of high speed inclined position welding of a spiral steel pipe, etc. by incorporating a specific amt. of Fe oxide in the compsn. of a fused flux for submerged arc inclined position welding of an iron or steel. CONSTITUTION:A fused flux for submerged arc inclined position welding of an iron or steel is composed of 15-40% 1 or =2 kinds among CaO, MgO, Al2O3, 2-10% FetO as the sum Fe2O3 and FeO, 15-40% SiO2, 5-15% MnO, 10-35% TiO2 and 5% CaF2. The generation of a defect, such as an undercut or concave, is obviated and a good bead shape is obtd. in the case of subjecting a spiral steel pipe to inclined position welding at a high speed of =3m/min by using such flux.
