PURPOSE:The titled vulcanization accelerator which is stable in scorching and high in vulcanization rate and can provide a vulcanized rubber excellent in heat resistance, etc., comprising 2,4-bis(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol and/or 4-dimethylaminophenol. CONSTITUTION:2,4-Di-t-butylphenol and/or 2,6-di-t-butylphenol is reacted with dimethylamine and formaldehyde, and the product is debutylated to obtain a vulcanization accelerator comprising 2,4-bis(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol and/or 4- dimethylaminomethylphenol. 100pts.wt. synthetic chloroprene rubber is mixed with 0.3-5pts.wt. above vulcanization accelerator.
