PURPOSE:To prevent a shadow of a joint of an original from being reproduced as a straight line, and to obtain a copy having a good quality by disposing opposingly a light emitting body for eliminating the charge on a photosensitive body, on a very small part in the paper feed direction of a platen glass between an exposure part and a developing part. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting body 11 of a very small part, whose light quantity is determined by sensitivity of a photosensitive body such as an LED, etc. and whose irradiating range exerts no influence on a picture part is installed between a charged corotron 9 being at a position opposed to a line B of a photosensitive body 10, and a developing device 12, and this light emitting body 11 is constituted so that it can be lighted when necessary by a switch on the operation panel. In this way, the charge in a position B of the photosensitive body 10 is eliminated, an electrostatic latent image formed in its position is erased, and a copy of a good quality, into which no surplus line enters can be obtained.
