TRAVELING SCRAPING MACHINE OF SEDIMENTED SAND

PURPOSE:To scrape efficiently sedimented sand by providing an endless chain equipped with numerous buckets to turn around a frame, which expands and contracts freely in the vertical direction, and a scraping trestle provided to the lower end of the frame so that the scraping mechanism part may easily and freely be taken in and out. CONSTITUTION:Guide beams 8 and 8 having a couple of rails 7 and 7, which extends in the longitudinal direction of a sand sedimentation pond 1 are provided at the upper part of a traveling gantry 5, and a carriage 10 of a sedimented sand scraping machine is mounted between the guide beams 8 and 8 through wheels 9 and 9. A frame 11 which expands and contracts freely by a pantographic linking mechanism is hung from the lower side of the rear part of the carriage 10. The frame can be expanded and contracted vertically by an expansion and contraction operating member 12 such as a hydraulic cylinder of which one end is installed to the carriage 10. A chain 22 equipped with a bucket 21 scrapes the sedimented sand by the operation of a motor 18, and the tension of the chain 22 is kept by a tension control device 23 consisting of a weight 29 and a loose roller 27.
