PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment scraping machine which can save energy, and can prolong a life of a consumable part.;SOLUTION: A sediment scraping machine includes: a scraping carriage 5 which scrapes sediment deposited on a bottom surface of a settling tank 1 to a pit 10 arranged on a bottom surface of the settling tank 1; position detectors 31, 32, 33, 34 which detect whether the scraping carriage 5 reaches a predetermined position; and a control part 38 which controls travel of the scraping carriage 5. The predetermined position includes a sediment input position above the pit 10, and a plurality of inversion positions where a travelling direction of the scraping carriage 5 travelling in a direction separating from the pit 10 is inverted. The control part 38 makes the scraping carriage 5 reciprocally travel between the sediment input position and either one previously selected from the plurality of inversion positions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
