CUTTING METHOD OF METAL PLATE THROUGH DOUBLE CUT SHEAR

PURPOSE:To perform raser welding well by employing cutting method which will scarcely cause bending in double cut shear prior to welding. CONSTITUTION:In both clampers 1, 2 in double cut shear, the facing ends of upper clamps 1a, 2a are extended integrally while the extended sections 1'a, 2'a are partially lapped over the upper end faces of each edge 4a, 4b of lower shear 4 where the lapping width is limited below 7mm.. The metal plate is cut while holding the end section between the lower edge 4 and the lapping section. With such method, gap between butting edges is shortened while sufficient welding strength can be maintained, resulting in good raser welding.
