PURPOSE:To prevent damage or contamination of printed sheets during high speed exhaustion by fitting a ring in a ring-shaped groove, formed at the periphery of a suction wheel, in such a manner as partially protruding from said peripheral surface, by separating the printed portion of each sheet from this peripheral surface through the service of said ring. CONSTITUTION:If a sheet is printed on its both sides and the marginal width on the suction wheel side is narrower than the width of said suction wheel 24, a ring 28 is fitted in a ring-shaped groove 27 in suction wheel 24 in such a manner that the side of ring 28 with smaller width is situated outside, and then a suction device 13 is located to be followed by necessary operation, wherein the printed surface of each sheet 8 is slightly apart from the peripheral surface of the suction wheel 24 except the portion in slide contact with the small width part of the ring 28, so that damage or contamination of the printed portion can be prevented by locating the suction device 13 in such a way as the small width part mating with the marginal portion of the sheet.
