LIGHTING APPARATUS FOR DETECTING SURFACE FLAW OF HOT CONTINUOUS CASTING SLAB

PURPOSE:To save the electric power capacity of a light source and to make the flaw detection easy by providing a trough-shaped reflection mirror of elliptic surface having a cooling air hole and a cooling water hole, halogen lamp and a pipe covering the reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION:The lighting apparatus for surface flaw detection has the reflection mirror 21 having elliptic surface, the halogen lamp 22 and the pipe 23 covering the mirror 21. The mirror 21 has the holes 21A, 21B for flowing cooling water in the inner part and the hole 21C for flowing cooling air. By such a constitution, the electric power capacity of the light source is saved, the contrast of the negative image can be obtained against both flaws to parallel and vertical directions to the moving direction of the slab, and the detection is made easy.
