PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation at the depressed part of a lead frame by a method wherein a recess larger than the depressed part of the depressed type lead frame is formed in ring form between the other roller, in the upper and lower rollers. CONSTITUTION:The rotating upper and lower rollers 4 and 5 are transversally provided in a plurality of pairs in the direction rectangular to the direction of carriage, and then the lead frames 2 are transferred successively through the rollers 4 and 5. At the time, in at least one roller of the upper and lower rollers 4 and 5, the recess 10 larger than the depressed part 9 of the depressed type lead frame 2 is formed in ring form between the other roller.
