CONSTRUCTION OF SAND BAG PILE IN SOFT GROUND UNDER WATER BY VIBRO-HAMMER

PURPOSE:To permit the use of a casing of as much a short length as the depth of water for saving a netted bag for sand bag pile by nearly as much a length as the depth of water by combining a subleader and an underwater vibro-hammer to a driver for the sand bag pile. CONSTITUTION:In the first place, a casing 1 is vertically erected and then compressed air from an inlet pipe not illustrated is introduced into the casing 1 to discharge water inside the casing 1 through a drain pipe 5. Then, a netted bag A whose tip pattern is filled with sand is put by its own weight in a casing 1, its upper part is connected with a hopper 3, sand in the hopper 3 is filled into the netted bag A, the inlet port 4 of the casing 1 is closed, and then an underwater vibro-hammer 12 is lowered through a subleader and operated to penetrate the casing 1 into a soft ground E by vertical. Afterwards, a cover 2 at the lower part of the casing is opened and the casing 1 is pulled up to complete the construction of the sand bag pile.
