PURPOSE:To enhance the dehydrating capability of the titled sheet by using a dehydrating agent obtained by combining of a hypertonic solution of sugars or the like with an acrylic polymer. CONSTITUTION:The hypertonic solution 3 of an organic substance such as sucrose is coated on one side of a semipermeable membrane 2 and then a powder absorbent 4 such as the special acrylic polymer is scattered on the coating of the solution 3, to produce the contact-type dehydrating sheet utilizing osmotic pressure. The sheet is used by contacting an object 1 with the side of the sheet opposite to the side provided with the dehydrating agent.
