SELFFPROPELLED OR NONNSELFFPROPELLED BARGE RECONSTRUCTED FROM OIL TANKER FOR STORING PULVERIZED SUBSTANCES

PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient storage installation and to utilize an unused oil tanker, for which market demand is saturated, as a barge, by utilizing oil tanks at central portion as holds for pulverized substance and adding devices for loading and unloading of pulverized substance, thus, reconstructing the oil tanker as the barge. CONSTITUTION:A central tank 3 of an unused oil tanker 1 is utilized as a hold for pulverized substance and a loading device 10 and an unloading device 11 are installed for loading and unloading of the pulverized substance. The loading device 10 is consisting of a hopper 12, installed in a room which is recostructed from a side tank 4 and having an opening thereof above a deck, and an air slide conveyor 14, installed below the hopper 12 and communicating with a bucket elevator 13. The unloading device 11 is consisting of an air slide conveyor 17, 17, arranged at the bottom portion of the hold 3 and collecting pulverized substance into a central portion, the bucket elevator 13 and an air slide conveyor 20 for unloading the substance to a installation on land.
