The mechanism is intended for preventing bridging of powdery material such as flour near the bottom outlet of a storage silo. It comprises a framework of rods, of which the lowermost rod is parallel to the rotatable silo discharge worm below it and is swivelably carried on a transverse pivot fixed in the silo. - The lower rod carries a freely rotatable roller which is intermittently engaged by a cam lobe on the worm shaft. The frame is spring-loaded to maintain roller contact. Rotation of the worm shaft causes a rocking movement of the frame. FL
