The machine has a rigid bench with two supports adjustable in distance on either side of a thrust device. It has a system for measuring strength, elastic constant, shear stress and tensile stress. The machine makes it possible to apply steady loads and at the same time submit the samples to cyclic stresses while submitting them to temperatures other than ambient temperature or to temperature gradients between the exposed and non-exposed face to radiations. - The stress source is either a weight displaced as required along on oscillating lever, or from a pneumatic, electrical or mechanical system transmitted via a dynometri instrument to the oscillating lever. The oscillating lever force is transmitted to the centre of the thrust device by another lever oscillating about and integral with the same axis of rotation.(0/3)
