Modification of printed circuit board - using modification circuit on auxiliary board soldered directly onto parent circuit

A flexible insulating board bears a modification to an existing printed circuit on the board (PCB). It takes the form, for example, of reconnecting an internal soldering point to the edge connector instead of to the edge connector. Firstly the existing connection is broken. The surface of the modification board is given a coating of cement, the board is placed over the PCB and the new connection is made by soldering the points to corresponding points respectively. The assembly is then sealed by a suitable coating. - If desired the modification can be made on the underside of PCB, say by modification board which connects point to the underside of edge connector via point, connector and terminal. This example shows the use of blobs of conducting resin to effect both electrical and mechanical jointing.(0/1)
