Silage additive in particulate form - comprises mineral salts coated with molasses

Feed additive for incorporation into silage esp. grass or maize silage, which is in the form of coated particles of powdered chalk, bicalcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, and salt, the coating being a film of molasses. The solid ingredients are mixed in a rotating drum and the molasses is introduced through at least one, and pref. three helices which spray the liquid onto the solid. The resultant coated particles pref. have a diameter of 2 mm.
