The profiled extruded tubes (1) are of identical length (L) with threaded tie rods (2) and pressure plates (3) connected to an end distribution duct (4). A sealing material is applied between the distribution duct and the profiled tubes. Liq. may flow through the ducts, then discharge (5). Air may flow (6) in a zig-zag pattern between the tubes. The layout ensures thorough mixing of the air. The unit may also be used as condenser as the condensate drips off the fins outer surface.
