Biological material is rendered non-infectious as to hepatitis B and non-A-non-B viruses by incubating the material with hepatitis B antibody, drying the incubated material, and then heating the dried material under conditions effective to render the HnAnBV non-infectious without adversely affecting the biological activity of the biological material.
