A process for the production of heating element covers is proposed, with which flanges are arranged (2) on a plate equipped with holes (1) perpendicular with an equally distanced laminate. Where the hole-equipped plates (1) are brought with parallel rows of lengthwise borings (14) and a corresponding number of flanges (2) with mortise taps (22) each at an angled edge toward the plate to several stations in pressure-roller pairs, in which the taps are stuck through the borings in the plate and the jutting out portion of the taps are widened for stapling together. They are possibly split out of the plate's jutting taps areas while correspondingly being rolled in and out in connection to the rivets there.
