A roller for heavy loads has a metal (partic. steel) tube encapsulated in plastic material, inner and outer end rings, and roller bearings between them. The outer end rings are held by outer L-section metal bushes whose outer ends hold in the ends of the central tube and, together with those ends and the roller bearings, are encapsulated with the polymer.
