ABSTRACTA method of treating a liquid material containing compounds liableto produce solid waste substances as a result of chemical treatment with a dif-ferent reactive material in the form of a fluid phase and with at least one gasphase is disclosed. The method is characterised in that the treatment of theliquid material with the reactive phase is carried out immediately before thetreatment by co-atomisation with the gas phase. The method of the inventiondisplays utility in the treatment of waste water containing inorganic and/ororganic salts with a possibly low melting point.
