An improved cryosurgical apparatus uses tomography X-ray computer to enable to control the growth of the ice ball during the cryochirugie. Thus, cryosurgery of deep lesions and tumors is made possible and cryotherapy of tissue close to the body surface and / or body cavities may be performed in optimal conditions. This control technique is used in conjunction with special cryoprobes (5) designed to have an attenuation coefficient as close as possible to that of biological tissues. The cryoprobes (5) are constructed with materials of low atomic number and / or plastics and can be used with liquid nitrogen or liquid noble gas, especially crypton and xenon. These techniques allow the use of cryoprobes in the form of long needles (5) having diameters of a few millimeters for cryosurgery of deep tumors.
