LASER VIDEO DISC STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

A storage and retrieval system (10) for a video disc laser is used to receive a digital data signal (16) from a computer (13) and comprises an interface generator (20) which converts the data signal a video signal shaped (24) to place it on a laser video disc (30). The interrogation of the video disc (30) produces a video signal (38) fitting to a selected portion of the video signal shaped structure (38) in memory on the video disc (30). An interface receiver (34) receives the video signal (38) from the query and form a data signal (42) which can be read by a computer (44), which allows to store and to selectively retrieve the data .
