The system for leak detection in controlled tubular pipe line strands consists of two coaxially situated tubes, between which a control space is formed. This is almost completely evacuated and is connected to a leak indicator by means of a measurement and vacuum tube. The measurement tube is attached to one end of the tubular end of the pipeline strand. An artificial leak with defined mass through flow is attached to the measurement tube. The tubes are pref. the inlet and outlet lines for a pump, with the vacuum space between them.
