Cutting-to-length gauge for machine tools, such as lathes, cutting machines or milling machines, consisting of a mandrel, which can be attached to the tailstock of the machine tool, as a stop for the workpiece, which is to be cut to length and for machining is mounted in a chuck or a collet of the machine tool after coming against the stop at the mandrel, in which cutting-to-length gauge the mandrel is arranged on the piston of a cylinder actuated by pressure medium and provided with a taper for mounting in the tailstock.
