Connection for mullions (crossbars) in plastic windows which are produced from plastic hollow sections having intercalated reinforcing strips made of steel or aluminium

The connections known to date for mullions in plastic windows have required a high expenditure on assembly and have not increased flexural strength. Both problems are substantially improved by the abovementioned invention. Flexural strength is achieved by tensioning the reinforcing irons (which are in the plastic section). The flexural strength thereby allows higher or wider windows without additional reinforcement from the outside. The lower expenditure on assembly is achieved in that the connecting parts are constructed only of three individual parts, as characterised in the attached drawing Fig. 3 section No. 1-3, and no additional drilling from outside is necessary.
