The puzzle in the style of a jigsaw puzzle consists of plate-shaped elements which can be joined together at their edges. The plate-shaped elements are in top view designed as polygons and have at their edges, for mutual engagement or for mutual adhesion, connecting arrangements which are arranged and designed in a distributed manner along the polygon sides in such a manner that the edge along each polygon side of each plate-shaped element corresponds to a large number of the edges along other polygon sides of the other plate-shaped elements. The extensive edge design of the individual elements is, however, in its totality different in all or the greater number of the plate- shaped elements. As a result of the capacity of the plate-shaped elements to be joined together to form a hollow body, there is, already in hollow bodies with a small number of surface parts, a relatively high degree of difficulty in joining the plate-shaped elements together in their correct arrangement.
