Dieffenbachia variety with large pale spots

The variety of the Dieffenbachia house plant is a vegetative reproduction, having a pyramidal outline with extensive white varigation. The plants tendency to shoot is slight, the varigation taking the form of large irregular maculae over approximately 60 and 70% of the leaf surface in winter and summer respectively. The proportion of leaf area covered by the maculae is similar during the early stages of plant growth and the varigation is little effected by changes in the season, the light or the temperature. The varigations are a clear yellow when the plant is young turning to white with maturity, the length and the width of the leaves exceeding the corresponding dimensions of the Compacte Classic variety by 5 and 15% respectively.
