The shaving and shearing takes place during the advance of the carriage by means of a knife beam angled like an arrow and centred on the platform. This knife beam works on the basis of mechanically coordinated pulse and lever actions and thus tolerates up to 30 mm of height difference in the carriages. The apparatus works with little noise and is practically maintenance-free, is insensitive, and develops no abrasion dust. It requires no motorised drive. IMAGE
