A piece of fabric, rectangular or square in contour, and of a size corrsp. to the garment required, has a cutout made in one side for the neck. Two slits are made transversely to the first cutout, at a distance to suit the length of the sleeves. The long sides extending from these slits away from the neck are folded over to form the sides and front and back of the garment. The outer edges transverse to the first cutout are folded over to suit the slits. The edges are then sewn together to form the sleeves and secure them to the front and sides of the garment, and the garment is finished without relatively long, complex and tedious work.
