The cutting equipment is for leaf or stalk material in agricultural implements. It has a number of fixed cutting blades transposed with respect to each other and arranged in one or more rows above each other. These blades pass through a conveyor channel towards the opposite wall, which consists of basket rods, with parallel sides. The cutting blades act with conveyor elements for stalk and leaf material engaging between the rods in the feed channel. Each cutting blade at its end facing the rod well projects between the parallel side walls of a basket rod. The free ends (9) of the cutting blades (7) engage in openings or cut-outs e.g. slots, recesses (10) of the basket rods (6), which are tubes or bars, or in guides fitted to them. The widths of the openings or cut outs or the spacings between guides expand with respect to the feed direction of the cutting blades.
