摘要

The mechanism acts on a rod (2) which is hinged with its one end to the door edge and the other end penetrates into the cavity between the two skins of the car body. During its operation the rod slides between two brake rollers (7) so that the friction between the rod surface and the stationary roller elements (7) holds the door in any reqd. position. The pressure reqd. for the friction is produced by two resilient blocks (8) fitted in housing (1). The stationary rollers (7) are resting partly against the inner edges of the resilient blocks (8) and partly against the inner surfaces (9) of the housing (1). The inner surface (9) acting as an abutment for the rollers (7) has a continually increasing taper angle resulting in an arc-shape.
