Slowing of ski lift chair to load and unload - is effected by station stops which tilt chair sling rearwards

The brake slows the seat carrier of a cable type ski lift in stations. Each seat has a sling (2) joined to the grip by a pivot (3) and similarly to the seat. Fixings at the station press continuously to turn the sling to the rear. The station fixings are one or more rails and those on the seat assembly are rollers (5) or handles. The sling is tilted to a certain angle to operate the grip. This lowers the speed of the seat relative to the grip on loading or unloading.
