The stabilised UHF oscillator is capable of functioning at several frequencies esp. for switched frequency radar receivers. The oscillator uses PIN diodes as switches and has a resonant loop formed by its self inductance (LV) and loop capacitance working at a frequency (Fo) for a capacity value V intermediate between the max and min C values. The loop is coupled to a negative resistance diode circuit (D) by an intermediate resonant loop working again at (Fo) and to an impedance (ZL). Different frequencies are obtained by use of separate resonators providing, for example, ten spot frequencies between 9 and 10 GHz. The oscillator may be formed of linear conductors deposited on one side of an isolating substrate the remaining side conducting over its whole area.
