The power supply comprises three modules: a voltage regulator for the incoming unregulated DC supply, a controlled inverter with rectified and filtered output, and a feedback circuit which controls the operation of the voltage regulator module in response to a combination of output voltage and voltage regulator current. The voltage regulator module uses either a series or shunt transistor regulator circuit with input and output filtering. The emitter-base junction of the regulating transistor is fed by a signal from the feedback circuit to regulate the DC voltage applied to the two transistor oscillator controlled inverter which generates an alternating current in the primary of a dual secondary transformer. Each secondary uses a centre tapped rectifier circuit with LC filtering to produce two regulated DC voltages which are monitored by the feedback circuit.
