The frame reduces wind forces on the bicycle and frame clamps, allows the bicycle to be protected from the rain without a cumbersome shield. It also allows the vehicle to be driven into a garage without first dismantling the bicycle. The frame has two parts, one (E1) being a square tube frame fixed to the vehicle roof trim and providing runners for the other part (E2). The latter is fixed to the first part by adjustable slides (6), and carries the fixings for the bicycle (10,11,12,13,14). It is shaped to suit the bike frame diagonal between the handle bar base and the pedal axle.
