Simultaneous closing of shutters on chamber and transport chimney - esp. for changing components in nuclear reactor chamber, where shutters can be locked together and swivelled

A chamber is closed by a top, horizontal shutter, which has locking bars entering holes in the wall of the chamber. The bars can be retracted by levers moved by rotation of a threaded spindle; this retraction causes the bars to lock onto a second, upper shutter closing the bottom end of a vertical transport chimney. When the two shutters are locked together, a lever driven by work cylinders lifts both shutters and swings them through 90 deg. to a vertical position, in which the shutters enter a recess in one side wall of the chimney. Used e.g. in the removal and replacement of a defective pump in a nuclear reactor.
