Compsn. for treating skin, e.g. burns, eczema or acne - contains essential oils from Labiatae and other plant families

Aromatic compsn. is a mixt. of components of essential oils obtd. from plants of the families Labiatae, Geraniaceae, Rutaceae, Compositae and Myrtaceae. The specified plant species are sage (Salvia afficinalis), lavender (Lavandula afficinalis), rosemary (Rosmarinus afficinalis), thyme (Thymus vulgeris), geranium (Pelargonium odoratissimum), eucalyptus (E.globulus), Portugal organic (Citrus aurantium) and chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). Pref. the Labiatae-derived components make up 50-60 wt.% of the total. The compsns. are used to treat a great variety of skin disorders e.g. burns, stings, eczema, acne. They have strong antiseptic, cicatrising and antiinflammatory actions with synergistic enhancement between the various components. They also stimulate cell 'birth' and revitalise the tissues. The compsns. cause no irritation to the skin when combined with a solvent.
