Each working glove (a) of a glove box is located inside a slightly larger protective glove (b); the finger-tips of glove (b) have been cut off, so the finger-tips of glove (a) project out of the truncated fingers of glove (b). A protective gas at a higher pressure than that of the gas in the glove box is blown into the gap between the two gloves (a,b), so a stream of protective glass flows along the fore-arm and fingers of glove (a) and then through the truncated fingers of glove (b) into the box. Glove (a) is pref. sealed onto a bush (a1) contg. a flexible bush (b1) onto which glove (b) is clamped by a sealing ring. Bush (b1) forms a ring nozzle used to inject a protective gas into glove (b).
