Device reducing the outlet temperature of air from compressors and turbo-compressors

The present invention relates to a device making it possible to lower the outlet temperature of carburation air from turbo-compressors which are positioned on a vertical axis 1, with the drive turbine 2 at the top part under which there is a heat shield 3. The two turbines are connected by a spacer 5 made from a material having a very low coefficient of thermal conduction, this same material being used for the shaft 1. In the spacer 5 and between the shaft 1, there is automatic circulation of cooling air. The venturi-expansion system 11 and 17 is used in order to lower the temperature of the carburation air. It is the vertical positioning of the axis which eliminates the gyroscopic effect during bends, thus giving an additional advantage to the present invention. IMAGE
