PURPOSE:To obtain to miniaturize the titled apparatus and to enhance measuring accuracy, by setting positions and directions of a light source, an object to be measured, an image forming lens and a light receiving plate so as to always obtain the focused image of the object to be measured on the light receiving plate. CONSTITUTION:A light source 1 is directed to a direction forming an angle alpha with respect to the straight line connecting the position R of an object to be measured and a rotary shaft Q and an image forming lens 4 is provided on the line connecting R and a light receiving plate 2 in integral relation of a strip like plate body 3 while the diameter direction thereof is made parallel to the strip like plate body 3. Further, the light receiving plate 2 forms an angle beta with respect to the strip like plate body so that the extended line of the plate surface thereof passes the intersecting point of the extended line of the image forming lens 4 in the diameter direction thereof and light beam. By this setting, a focused image is always formed on the light receiving plate 2. Therefore, if the object 5 to be measured on a stand 6 moved in an up-and-down direction is scanned by shaking the strip like plate body 3 around the rotary shaft Q, the X, Y, Z three-dimensional shape of the object 5 to be measured can be measured with high accuracy by a small sized apparatus.
