PURPOSE:To reduce a pumping loss and thereby raise mechanical efficiencies, by letting a throttle valve open to the full a bit earlier in time of high load in a reformed-gas engine, while controlling its output generated later in a way of varying a rate of reformed gas to some extent. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 40 to which an unreformed material is fed out of a fuel tank 52 and a reformed-gas nozzle 42 to which reformed gas is fed out a reformer via a pressure regulator tank 64 are both installed in an engine 10. A control unit 68 inputs a driving state signal out of an engine speed sensor 72, and when a throttle valve 36 is fully opened before a step-on extent reaches its maximum value as an accelerator pedal 34 is stepped on, afterward the control unit outputs a signal to each of these nozzles 40 and 42 so as to control a feed rate of the reformed gas. With this constitution, a pumping loss in time of high load is thus reduced.
