SEDIMENT REMOVER COMBINED WITH SEDIMENT SCRATCHING-UP OPERATION

PURPOSE:To perform both an operation to remove sediments on a screen and an operation to scratch up sediments by means of a single truck, by a method wherein a bucket conveyor for scratching-up sediments is stretched around an elevating frame of a running truck, a rake is attached to each bucket, and the driving direction of the bucket conveyor is freely switched. CONSTITUTION:In case sediments is scratched up, an elevating frame 9 is lowered onto sediments on the bottom of the pond, and with a discharging device 4 also actuated, a running truck 2 is caused to travel as a bucket conveyor 12 is driven in a direction of an arrow mark A. In case sediment on a screen S is removed, an underwater sprocket wheel 10e is set to the lower position of the screen S through raising of the elevating frame 9 with a cylinder 8 operated, and after a running truck 2 is brought to a stop so that a rake 14 makes contact with a screen, with the rake 14 driven in a direction of an arrow mark B, sediment on the screen is scratched up by the bucket conveyor 12 to drop them onto a screen sediment discharging device 15.
