VULCANIZATION OF NATURAL RUBBER LATEX BY RADIATION

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a natural rubber film storable for a long period and having extremely excellent physical properties, safely to the health of worker, without using a good solvent of rubber, by adding a hydrophobic acrylic acid ester to a rubber latex, and irradiating ionizing radiation to the latex mixture. CONSTITUTION:A natural rubber latex is mixed with 1-20pts.(wt.), preferably 2-10pts. of a hydrophobic acrylic acid ester based on 100pts. of the solid component of the rubber, and the mixture is irradiated with ionizing radiation at a dose of 1-10Mrad, preferably 2-8Mrad. The mixture is preferably stirred for =30min after the addition of said ester to the latex.
